My love of photography developed at an early age from mentors such as my father, who had a dark room in his home, Stephen Wicks, my inspiring high school photography instructor, and Craig Litten, who photographed our wedding in April of 2009 and during the planing process became an inspiration and adviser.
My own work began in the city of Boston, and I was lucky enough to have my first experiences in the dark room at the age of 12 as a segment of my school’s art class. After learning basic skills and concepts in high school during photography classes and an independent project, I then went on to cultivate this growing passion through photojournalism courses at Boston University as well as in my travels and spare time.
Since college, I have studied under professional photojournalists as well as portrait and editorial photographers. My current work focuses on candid portraits, newborn/baby sessions and weddings. I am also available for headshots, commercial work and other photography needs. I am passionate about true-to-life photography, and I hope that through my work, I capture the essence of my subjects, whether I’m photographing a two-week-old infant, a just-married couple, a beautiful landscape, or products for a magazine or company.
