Wahoo!! Finally.

E - Eastern Conference Champs

I do have to say that Ezel is half-Cavs fan, but he can now properly root for the Celtics for the finals. And by root, I mean sport his super awesome headband without us having to hide it from his father.

After two weeks flew by in Cleveland, we are now in Boston for the weekend. So sad to leave Cleveland – my sister, life in Little Italy, and of course little E – but very happy to be here with the Campbell clan and friends.

Here are just a few shots of E from the last couple weeks.

Many more previews of Cleveland sessions to come.

I met Elliott last summer when he was just a little peanut in Carolyn’s Kids class at Alexandria School in Solon, OH. I finally got the chance to photograph him last week, and wow is he scrumptious. I had so much fun capturing his sweet self, and I hope these preview photos do the little guy justice.

Check out this mini model with his hair blowing in the breeze:

I photographed 2.5-year-old Graham on a rainy day this week. His mom had smartly thought to get him an adorable umbrella, which he loved – and it made for really cute photos. Phew!

Here are some preview shots…

Before we went outside, we took some photos in his playroom. Here he is looking very blue-eyed and handsome:

The boy is on the go, leaving his cute chair behind for the moment:

Outside with his parents (and baby sibling-to-be!):

Looking forward to meeting the new addition to the family soon!

The reason for the timing of this visit to Cleveland is that Jonah, my brother-in-law, was graduating with his MD, PhD from Case. Connie, the subject of this photo session, was also graduating with her MD, PhD from Case and wanted some portraits to commemorate the occasion – We didn’t realize until after planning our session that Connie and Jonah are good friends. Small world. And Cleveland is even smaller.

Although most of my portrait sessions are of children, I love working with adults as well, and I felt honored to capture the culmination of such impressive hard work – what an achievement…

Here is Connie (MD, PhD) looking very educated and pretty:

We’re heading to Cleveland today for two weeks – then Boston!

One part I love so much about our time in Cleveland is “Nathan day,” the one day per week E (i.e. Ezel)’s cousin Nathan (i.e. NateDogg) comes to spend the day with us. We get to see this face:

E

alongside this face:

Nathan

It’s a good time.

These two together make me giggle – and want to squish them. And check out this sequence below. I like imagining what they could be thinking…

Is E already showing signs of being a tattletale??

And these two shots… First, E’s about ready to cry in protest…

…and then realizes that kind of tickles.

E and Nathan

Hee. I can’t wait to see them both. I’ll be writing from Cleveland soon.

I photographed the New Medicine Community Farmers Market at Health Park East in Bradenton in January when they had just opened. I went again yesterday to take photos for their upcoming new website, and although the overall intimate feeling is still there, the market has really grown.

While their market may be moving inside and slowing down for the summer (unsure about this – will post info when I have it), the NMC is launching Super Natural Cooking classes (starting tonight!), based on the book by Heidi Swanson, as well as other health-minded programs.

I’ll share the NMC’s revamped website with yesterday’s photos when the site goes live, but I was inspired to do some vintage-styled shots. They just ooze summer to me…

Apparently I’ve missed photographing little ones, because I’m having a tough time narrowing down the shots for posts… Oh well. Lots of photos again.

I’ve posted about Summer before. She’s the daughter of our good friends Steve and Karin. We hadn’t seen her in a while, and she is growing up fast – talking, laughing, dancing, and just generally being a really cute 18-month-old. Since we didn’t get to do a real photo session during our last visit (was it really 35 degrees?!), we took the opportunity to try it out again. This time, it was about 90 degrees (where did spring go??), but at least it was sunny and Summer could play outside.

First, this adorable girl in her super-cute summery dress:

Summer

Summer has so many precious and hilarious facial expressions – happy waves, tongue-out-in-concentration, big-toothy-grin, pure joy, lower-lip-stuck-out-in-confusion, etc. Check them out in the many shots below.

Gathering some fun things to take outside:

Summer

Out in the yard now, playing with a drumstick (Summer’s random choice), a coffee pot (J’s also-random choice), and the beautiful flowers:

Summer

I felt that this one should stand on its own – so girly, so springy/summery:

Summer

And some cuteness with her mama:

New outfit, new toy – bubbles!!

Lastly… Bye-bye from Summer!
