Twice in one week I’ve watched the sun set over the bay! Not bad… I should really do it more often.

Before shooting the festival’s Cinema Tropicale event at the brand new Sarasota Yacht Club (photos to come), I photographed the Hoola Monsters performing outside the movie theater just prior to the screening of the film The Hooping Life (which I now really want to see). These hoopers are incredibly talented and were so much fun to watch (also had an amazing performance at Cinema Tropicale). Here are some shots of the mini-event:

J and I celebrated our first anniversary yesterday. 🙂 Although I had to work and he had the Masters to watch, we found a bit of time in the middle of the day to revisit the gorgeous spot where we were married, the Ca d’Zan Mansion at the Ringling Museum. The rain subsided, and the scorching sun came out for our lunchtime trip:

Our wedding photographer, Craig Litten, has our slideshow posted on his site: www.craiglittenphotography.com.

What a great year it has been. 🙂

J and I visited Ben and Shelby King, along with their three awesome kids, Lily, Jeb, and Reed, at their farm yesterday. More photos to come of the family and their amazing farm, but on this rainy, rainy day here in Florida, I wanted to post something bright – and their inspirational and gorgeous blossoms fit the bill.
