Although we live in Sarasota, a huge portion of my business is in Cleveland. And I love how lots of my Cleveland clients vacation in Sarasota, so I can combine my two working worlds!
This family escaped the crazy cold and snowy Cleveland weather to spend a week here at the beach – such a perfect time to do a holiday photo session! And these two with their red curls in the sun… 🙂

These two are edible – Seriously, they should be on the menu at their family’s restaurant (Mozzarella Fella – yum). Grace, with her ridiculously amazing red hair and beautiful smile, and Vinny, with his devilish handsomeness and big brown eyes… These two at Fire Station 1 with super-nice firefighters and the most awesome trucks… So much fun.

I love photographing this family so much. I met them when I was a teaching assistant at Brenan’s preschool. He wasn’t even 3, Rylee was a toddler, and they were two of the sweetest and cutest kids who had ever crossed my path. Luckily, we’re sort of neighbors, so I have gotten to see them here and there as they’ve grown up – still such good kids and so much fun to be around. Then I got the chance to photograph them when Steph was pregnant with Mac and again after he was born… Another crazy cute kid – handsome, yes, but also shockingly well-behaved (he’s 3 and was so cooperative!) and really sweet. And my little T’s huge crush. (Uh oh.) ♥
They’re such a great team and an absolute pleasure to photograph.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
I’m feeling very thankful for having such wonderful clients who keep me loving what I do and for being able to have a flexible work schedule that allows me to spend a lot of time with this face:
…and so, so grateful for the vivacious toddler above, my loving husband, supportive family, and super awesome friends. 🙂

Sometimes I forget how nice it is to photograph slightly older kids (especially when they want to be photographed!) because I’m so used to working with babies and little ones (which I adore!). Meredith and Tess were so much fun at their session – as were their parents! Great sports and a really sweet family. 🙂

Another sweet family. Although Dylan may not have been super interested in posing for photos (not many 18-month-olds are), we managed to corral him so I could capture his handsome face… Beautiful big sister Vivian helped out, trying to get Dylan to stay put… The tug-of-war shot of the two kids is one of my favorites – such a sibling moment. 🙂

I could go on and on about this bunch. Then I’d get sad because they’ve moved to New Jersey. I’ll just say that this family is absolutely adorable, incredibly kind, and so, so loving. And I better get to see them again one day not too long from now. ♥
And I looked back on Lily’s first session and found these shots with her best buddy, George…
…and almost 4 years later, “Georgie” is still Lily’s favorite (along with “Ginormie Georgie,” “PJ George,” and maybe a couple others not pictured)… 🙂
