Our good friends Graig and Christie welcomed their son, Graison, just two days after their beautiful girl Lovella turned two. 🙂 Welcome to the world, you handsome little man! We’ve all been eagerly anticipating your arrival!

This is a continuation of my last post, which was of the aunt and soon-to-be-official-uncle of this beautiful little almost-one-year-old, Myah. I photographed her parents’ wedding and day-after beach portraits in the summer of 2013, and it was wonderful to see them all again and meet Myah, who will celebrate her first birthday this month. 🙂

It was so much fun to do an engagement shoot for the first time in a very long while. Even though it poured pretty much all day, the skies cleared as we pulled into Siesta’s parking lot, and we had a relatively private beach and a beautiful evening for Karie and Gavin’s session. And Gavin had just popped the question a few days earlier, so capturing their newly engaged bliss was easy and incredibly romantic. The way these two make each other smile so genuinely is infectious!

Happy New Year, everyone!

My work year ended with this beautiful family’s session. After meeting them in our childbirth classes at Sarasota Memorial and then in prenatal yoga (the wonderful, inspiring Arlena Dominick’s class at Rosemary Court), it was so special to photograph them now as a family with darling, gorgeous Emma, whose second birthday we’ll be celebrating in just a few weeks! It was even sweeter that the extended family was visiting for the holidays!

I don’t know why this session – this family – makes me so emotional… They are all healthy and happy and full of love. Maybe that’s why. Cat and Greg are so rock solid, crazy in love (in the best way), and such good people. They deserve everything wonderful in the world. Then Greg had an icky accident at work, and their strength, patience, love and faith were tested. Now, almost exactly three months later, Greg’s doing really well, Cat’s stronger than ever, and Rufus has proved to be an amazing therapy dog, taking a breather from being a hyper wire fox terrier to do a lot of relaxing and cuddling with Greg. And, if it’s possible, I think they’re even more a family unit now. So, taking their photos, and seeing how happy and present they are, tugs at my heart – a reminder to focus on the truly important stuff.

Although we live in Sarasota, a huge portion of my business is in Cleveland. And I love how lots of my Cleveland clients vacation in Sarasota, so I can combine my two working worlds!

This family escaped the crazy cold and snowy Cleveland weather to spend a week here at the beach – such a perfect time to do a holiday photo session! And these two with their red curls in the sun… 🙂

These two are edible – Seriously, they should be on the menu at their family’s restaurant (Mozzarella Fellayum). Grace, with her ridiculously amazing red hair and beautiful smile, and Vinny, with his devilish handsomeness and big brown eyes… These two at Fire Station 1 with super-nice firefighters and the most awesome trucks… So much fun.

I adore this sweet, gentle, scrumptious boy (and his parents aren’t so bad, either). ♥

I love photographing this family so much. I met them when I was a teaching assistant at Brenan’s preschool. He wasn’t even 3, Rylee was a toddler, and they were two of the sweetest and cutest kids who had ever crossed my path. Luckily, we’re sort of neighbors, so I have gotten to see them here and there as they’ve grown up – still such good kids and so much fun to be around. Then I got the chance to photograph them when Steph was pregnant with Mac and again after he was born… Another crazy cute kid – handsome, yes, but also shockingly well-behaved (he’s 3 and was so cooperative!) and really sweet. And my little T’s huge crush. (Uh oh.) ♥

They’re such a great team and an absolute pleasure to photograph.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I’m feeling very thankful for having such wonderful clients who keep me loving what I do and for being able to have a flexible work schedule that allows me to spend a lot of time with this face:

…and so, so grateful for the vivacious toddler above, my loving husband, supportive family, and super awesome friends. 🙂
