I haven’t seen this little man since he was 2.5 weeks old (well, in person – I’ve been following his adorableness on Facebook), and he is just as edible as he was then, if not more so. Brody is a happy, happy boy and absolutely scrumptious.

I’m loving the newborn fest that’s happening these days. Photographing newborns is such an amazing experience – meeting these babies when they’ve been out in the world for only days or a month, and seeing the elation (exhaustion, maybe, but the elation always overpowers) of the new parents… I love it!

Maren Vera is an absolutely gorgeous girl, and although she took some coaxing – with patient rocking by her parents, she is a beautiful little model.

I am in love with little Wesley. Such a handsome, cooperative newborn model – and, let’s be honest, snuggling newborns as we get them into cozy, photo-ready positions is one huge perk of the job. His big sister Addie is so adorable and already takes such good care of her baby brother. So cute to watch. And we got another perfect-weather day in Cleveland (finally, an entire week straight of beautiful, sunny, outdoor-shooting weather!) – just the right temperature for tiny Wesley to sleep comfortably and some crisp leaves to make for a very fall-like shoot!

I was so excited to meet little Piper during this past visit to Cleveland. I’ve been photographing her brother Nolan since he was just 4 months old, and during our last shoot, when he was 20 months, Kari was about due with their little baby girl. Piper was 7 weeks old when I finally got to photograph her, and she’s already set to have the same gorgeous eyes as her brother (and mother).

The whole fam – We managed to have Nolan not moving (or at least not much) for a few split seconds:

This boy always gives me a good workout during our shoots, but I will chase after him to get a shot of those amazing eyes and his sweet little face:

Congratulations, Kari, Kevin, and Nolan on the arrival of beautiful Piper!

As E is very proud to share with everyone today (accompanied by shouting “more happy day Ethan!” for more singing and blowing out candles), E is two years old today! This afternoon two years ago, we were anxiously awaiting this little guy’s arrival, already exploding with love for him. He’s made me a very happy aunt, and I love every minute I get to spend with him (which has luckily been quite a bunch ♥).

The handsome one-week-old:

And jumping ahead to his first birthday celebration:

Apparently his Mickey fire truck started a trend, because the boy loves fire trucks (and all rescue and construction vehicles, for that matter):

And who can stand these eyes?

I love this boy crazy amounts:

Happy second birthday to the best nephew. ♥♥♥

Normally, newborn sessions are best within the first week to ten days after the little one’s birth. This usually allows for sleepy, cozy newborns – before they enter what may be the not-so-photogenic baby acne, hair loss, etc. stage. But almost one-month-old Mimi played the newborn part perfectly – She is absolutely beautiful and slept soundly for almost the entire shoot. Such a cooperative little model!

So, so pretty…

Heading back to FL, but first I have to post about this little one…

On Friday, I photographed beautiful, tiny 6-day-old Liora Keren (before her baby naming, actually, so big sister Eliana was calling her “Tallulah” after a favorite character in one of her books). She was so alert, adorable, and petite, and the house was filled with coziness and love – one of the things I love about going to families’ homes for newborn shoots.

Just look at this precious munchkin!

Liora

She didn’t love every minute of our session, but I love this shot. Is it wrong that I find something really sweet about a crying newborn?

Some sister snuggle time (on a baby blanket that’s been in the family for 30 years):

Lots of love for Liora… (Note that Elie is reading her “big sister” book – so cute.)

Congratulations to Alyson, Matt, Elie (my name and birthday twin!), and family on sweet baby Liora Keren!

Jack was born in the middle of our Cleveland visit, and I photographed him and his adoring family about a week later. Jack is an absolutely adorable newborn, and his sister Haley is such a princess and not afraid of the camera. While we waited for Jack to get cozy, Haley was an excellent model, posing proudly in her princess chair:

And here she is again, showing off her gorgeous locks and big green-brown eyes.

Jack did eventually fall asleep. Check out the little prince:

And one last shot. The little man almost crawled out of this basket at one week!
