Liora Keren, 6 days old – Cleveland Newborn Photographer

Heading back to FL, but first I have to post about this little one…

On Friday, I photographed beautiful, tiny 6-day-old Liora Keren (before her baby naming, actually, so big sister Eliana was calling her “Tallulah” after a favorite character in one of her books). She was so alert, adorable, and petite, and the house was filled with coziness and love – one of the things I love about going to families’ homes for newborn shoots.

She didn’t love every minute of our session, but I love this shot. Is it wrong that I find something really sweet about a crying newborn?

Chad’s Bar Mitzvah – Cleveland Photographer

The main reason for this trip to Cleveland in not-so-toasty February was to photograph Chad’s bar mitzvah this past weekend. (I’m loving the events lately – a New Year’s wedding in Boston, a Sarasota Sweet 16, and now the Cleveland bar mitzvah – such great times!)

Chad and his family were amazing – so welcoming, fun, and sweet… and when did 13-year-olds become so awesome?! They partied from early evening until late in the night, dancing up a storm (I especially loved the impromptu “Dougie” performance by three of Chad’s friends – someone please share a video) and celebrating with Chad.

Arianna, 4 months – Cleveland Photographer

I’ve been excited to photograph Arianna since the fall, and I finally got my camera on her as my first portrait session of this Cleveland trip. Photographing her and her parents, Yana and Nate, was so easy and fun. We got this great shot within the first minute of shooting… Ridiculous!

Vivi’s Sweet 16 – Sarasota Photographer

Now for Vivi’s party Saturday night… Everyone had so much fun, they extended the party until 2am! There was food and dancing, dancing, dancing, with two really great DJs, a performance by Simple as Surgery, and late-night dance tunes by a live band accompanying cotillón (or “crazy hour”), a Latin party tradition.

Here’s a collage of some of my favorite shots (everyone wore black and white, and Vivi had two purple dresses :-)). (That’s a virgin sour apple martini, by the way…)

Remy, 3 – Sarasota Photographer

You may remember Remy’s first photo on my blog from almost exactly one year ago. And some other shots here and here. He is so sweet, handsome, and ridiculously cute. Talia’s no stranger to my camera, either, since I’ve photographed her face no less than 100 times for her leather accessories line, Green Apple Accessories. We finally did a family shoot, back at Selby Gardens (where we did Remy’s first session), this past weekend.

Visitors in Sarasota :-) – Sarasota Photographer

For the 10 days since we’ve been home from Boston, we’ve had visitors, creating sort of an extended holiday celebration – always a great excuse to take some time off to have fun and enjoy each other and Sarasota.

First, Dana and E were here, and even though E was a bit under the weather, we had so much fun. I didn’t realize 17 months (TODAY – Happy 17 Months, E!!) was such a cute age! He understands so much, makes us laugh all day, and is a really sweet little man.

Here he is at a playground, with his eyes looking nothing short of ridiculous:

Before Dana and E left, J’s sister Lauren and her boyfriend came to visit. We took E to the beach on a very breezy, chilly day, and E actually liked it better than when it was warm and sunny!

Sienna, 6 days old – Sarasota Newborn Photographer

Our good friends Steve and Karin – and their adorable 2-year-old daughter Summer (some photos of Summer in May ’10 here) – just welcomed Sienna Faith to the family. We met the precious, gorgeous little one at 6 days old. We knew they’d have a cute one, and Sienna is scrumptious. Perfect newborn model, too!

Steve had a photo in mind that he really wanted to capture Sienna’s tinyness. Here it is:

My favorite family shots… Summer doesn’t quite know what to make of Sienna quite yet, but she does know how to smile for a photo! 🙂 (And Sienna’s little mouth just makes me nuts with how cute it is!)

Nolan, 14 months – Cleveland Photographer

Nolan is one of my regulars – So much fun to see a family every few months… watch the baby steps (literally).

Since Nolan’s almost-one-year shoot was too summery for a holiday card feel, we met again in November to capture the season… and to finally get some family photos!
