I recently posted a preview of siblings Sophia, Ava, and Thomas’ session. I’ve finally gone through all of their photos and have a bit more to share.

Sophia (5) and Ava (2) have an adorable playroom with the best in girly activities. After some posed portraits, they played a bit while I snapped some shots, and they immediately went into tea-party zone. Then they baked cookies. They are very good at both. And amazingly cute all the while.

Thomas’ recent birth (he was 3 months in February) was the impetus for the shoot, so here’s a sampling of Tommy-focused photos: (The ones of Cassie kissing him and the girls tickling him might be my favorites.)

And a couple of the little guy on his own:

This expression is heart-melting:

And one last photo of the group:

I absolutely loved meeting this family – Hope to see them again on a future trip to Cleveland!

One of my “older kids” for the Cleveland sessions was Sophie, who just had her first birthday before our shoot. Sophie is absolutely adorable, and her parents, Kacie and Greg, are no different. This is such a sweet family, and I had a great time photographing them… and eating Kacie’s Bubbie (grandmother)’s homemade cookies. 🙂

Here is a preview of Sophie’s session.

Her smile could not be any bigger (and check out those teeth!). And I love her dress, made from authentic kimono fabric:

Loving her playset (in between outfits):

And lastly, a family shot. This was tricky to snap – Sophie had other ideas (this girl was on the move), but don’t they look so happy?

This was my biggest family shoot yet. I’ve photographed little Brian many times before, starting from when he was 6 weeks old (!!), but I haven’t gotten the opportunity to capture him with his parents, let alone the whole family! (Will post some prior photos of Brian one day, hopefully not too far from now.)

This session was particularly special because it was a birthday gift for the kids’ grandmother, Marcia. She and her husband Richard, along with their sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren, got together for a family portrait session of 9 people – a tricky feat without a studio or access to the outdoors (it was snowing)… but we definitely made it happen. I lucked out with this bunch.

This family is so easy-going and was a lot of fun. I hope Marcia loved the birthday session – and the photos that come from it! Here are just a few.

Marcia and Richard with the three very loved little ones, Cadence, Brian, and JT:

I am in love with this next photo, not because of my skills but because of the fact that Marcia and Richard are giving their grown boys (very grown – these guys are giants) bunny ears:

The whole nine:

One last preview photo, this one of the lovely couple on their own:

What a special way to honor a birthday, and I had so much fun photographing them and being part of their celebration.

Raphael is another 6-month-old boy I photographed in Cleveland, along with his parents, Abby and Matt. Rafi is such a sweet little boy, with adorable, super soft cheeks and a huge grin. His hair is also absolutely amazing.

Here are some preview photos from their session.

I love how Abby and Matt are smiling at Rafi in this photo:

6-month portrait shot (seriously, isn’t his hair awesome?!):

And lastly, because of the not-too-freezing weather, we ventured into the snow for an outdoor family portrait:

Almost all of my sessions in Cleveland were of one baby – and sometimes the parents. While I love focusing on one child, with his/her individual personality and intimate relationship with mom and dad, it’s also really fun to photograph siblings/cousins. They are of course so comfortable around each other and are often pretty funny – and sweet.

This session was of three siblings – Sophia (5), Ava (2), and Thomas (3 months). The kids are adorable, and the whole shoot was so much fun – cooperative, super cute kids, a fun, easy-going mom, a beautiful house… what more could I ask for?

There are lots of photos from this shoot that I’m still going through, but here’s a three-image preview.

Seriously, look at these little ones… I am obsessed with the girls’ haircuts. And I want to fold up the couch and take it with me to future photo sessions:

Ava, Sophia, and Tommy

Cassie and her baby boy, Tommy, who has ridiculously long and dark eyelashes:

And the adorable family (minus Dad – hopefully we’ll get him next time!):

More to come – some of just the girls, a few family shots, and portraits of the little munchkin.

I love this little guy. Nathan is E‘s cousin, born exactly one week earlier. I’ve taken a bunch of photos of Nathan, but this was our first official shoot – and just as I’d expected, he was an awesome model. He is a shockingly easy-going, funny baby. After just traveling the night before from across the country and through two time zones, Nathan was still happy, alert, and fun. Ben and Jill are always great and laid back, so the threesome made for a very easy session for me!

I’ll be posting more photos of their session, but here is a preview for now.

Doesn’t this just make you want to squeeze him?

Loving his time in the bucket in the snow:

And if Nathan and E are cute on their own, the two of them together is just too much. Photos of their day together to come.

A few days ago, I photographed Alexander and his parents, Brad and Christina. I’ve had a bunch of 6-month-olds as models here in Cleveland (like Brennan), and it’s really fun to see how different yet similar they all are. Alexander has two super cute teeth and melts my heart with his little voice because it sounds just like E’s.

And Brad and Christina gave me Peruvian shortbread dulce de leche cookies – pretty much the best cookies ever. YUM.

Here’s a little preview of his photo shoot. Christina loves black and whites (and so do I), so that’s what I focused on for their session.

For my first shoot of this trip to Cleveland, I photographed 7-month-old Brennan on Superbowl Sunday’s gorgeously sunny snowy morning. Here are three preview shots.

A family photo to start it off (Isn’t his outfit amazingly adorable?):

More to come from Brennan’s session later on. A great kickoff (no Superbowl pun intended) to a two-week working visit to Cleveland.

Today was great for two big reasons: one, Ethan (nephew) is here, and two, my mom made a spectacular dinner in honor of my birthday that I enjoyed with my parents, my sister and brother-in-law (whilst Ethan slept soundly in the other room), my husband, and my aunt and uncle. 🙂 (Knock on wood.)

This will be my last post until Monday the 28th, so I hope everyone who celebrates Christmas has a fabulous one and that everyone who doesn’t gets some restful time off. We’re off to Boston to brave the frigid temperatures for the Campbell Family Christmas. Palm trees just don’t cut it like snow on the ground, Christmas Eve wildness with the Sacco crew, and presents flying all over the living room before dawn on Christmas day…

Here are a few photos from today.

E loves to fly, and I am loving his smiley happy face and the blue, blue sky:

Super E

What are you so concerned about, E? (Possibly the fact that we kept him up a tad too long when he should’ve been heading in for a nap. He was an excellent sport but very, very sleepy.)

Ethan

Yummm. Best salad and pastry creation:

And delicious flan/crunchy caramel dessert:

🙂 I love making adults wear birthday party hats, if only just to see how silly everyone looks trying to have intelligent discussions (or not intelligent discussions – just even sitting there, really) whilst wearing them. No, I didn’t post a photo of said adults in the hats, because I have a feeling I’d get in big trouble. This will have to do:

Have a great rest of the week! Be back Monday to defrost.

It’s a very proud feeling to receive holiday cards with photos I’ve taken on them. I like knowing that I’ve had a hand in capturing people’s families and children in a way that makes them think, “Yes, this represents us well – let’s send this photo out to our world!” Puts a big smile on my face. 😀

So I was very happy when Jack’s mother Katie told me they used my photo for their holiday card this year, and, like Lily, the card reminded me to share photos from their shoot. Jack and his parents, Katie and Josh, were such a fun family to photograph – Jack had such a great time chilling in the leaves. He was a sport the whole time and waited until we were completely done before announcing he was hungry. 🙂 Thanks, Jack!

Here are my favorites:

It never failed to make Jack laugh when his dad said, “Good morning!” in a sing-songy voice. Apparently Jack loves the morning!

Jack in the grass

Tummy time didn’t last long, but I think he looks adorable laying amongst the leaves:

Time to get up! Josh looks on as the smile-master (my silly noises had nothing on “Good morning!”):

Jack standing

Love a baby in a bucket! Jack loved it, too, once there were leaves inside that he could munch on. And check out that adorable fuzzy hair!

Hanging out with his mama (and giggling at Josh again!):

First time down his slide – ever!

And Moose joins the family photo. Jack was clearly more interested in Moose than me and my crazy faces and noises:

And one last photo of Jack ready for his first Christmas, stocking in hand!

Merry first Christmas, Jack!
