Peggy and Tom are about to celebrate their 50th anniversary – WOW. 50 years!! Their four sons and their families gathered from all over the country to celebrate, and one of their sons, Jim, and his wife Julie of SunCoast Organics, the amazing home delivery service for fresh, organic produce (and milk, eggs, nuts, etc.), asked me to help them commemorate the occasion with photos. They were an easy bunch, because they clearly have so much fun together – it’s infectious and a joy to photograph!

How sweet are these two?

And the adorable grandkids (thanks, Jim, for being hilarious and cracking them up!):

We took some individual family photos, too. Here are some of the SunCoast Organics crew. (Ainsley is hilarious and such a ham!)

Congratulations to Peggy and Tom on such an incredible and inspiring milestone, and thank you to the whole family for including me in the celebration!

Sophia just turned 5 (happy belated birthday!), so we celebrated with a shoot to capture her gorgeousness and how grown up she is!

Sophia

Of course, she had to do some twirling to show off her pretty dress!

And this pose just kills me:

It seems like 5 minutes ago that we met our friends’ little Sienna when she was just 6 days old. Actually, it kind of feels like 5 minutes ago that we met her big sister Summer, who is 2.5! Now Sienna is already 4 months old – and still really, really cute.

When we first arrived at their house, Sienna spent some time snoozing on J while Summer showed off her new swingset and iPad2:

Then Sienna woke up and showed off her smile!

And we took some sister photos of these two adorable girls:

How amazingly mischievously sweet is this expression?!

Lastly, the girls played dress-up – Sienna as a tiny Easter bunny and Summer as a fairy (with errands to run)!

Such a fun Saturday afternoon with this crew! 🙂

E and Remy have developed an adorable little friendship over E’s last several visits to FL. E now even has a name for Remy (“Hem”) and talks about him a lot – and by talks about him, I mean he reminisces with sounds, signs, and pointing. He’s not quite on full sentences yet. And Remy is preparing to be a big brother, being so sweet to E, calling him “Baby Efan,” holding his hand as they go places, and protecting him from other kids who try to steal his Thomas toy. They’re crazy cute on their own, and put them together… adorableness ensues.

Here they are, two of my favorite subjects:

E & Rem

And no visit with E can be complete without at least a mini photo shoot, so here are some shots of this very handsome and quickly growing-up 20-month-old, showing off his amazing Cleveland-white legs in his FL shorty shorts:

The two shots that make me crazy to look at…

One last shot – Sweet little Rem:

Those two boys make me very happy. Lots of cuteness. 🙂

Another SRQ post! The April issue features, in addition to several Sarasota wedding photographers :-), the annual readers awards, “Best of SRQ Local.” A handful of other photographers and I were asked to capture voters with their picks – This is the first year SRQ has added this twist, and it was really fun to meet the local voters and hear about their favorite spots.

Here are the ones I shot…

Voter Frank Maggio with Wendy Gingerich and Valarie Wadsworth at Yume Sushi, first runner-up for Best Sushi:

Phil Carey at Mozaic, contender for Best Wine Menu:

Elsie Gilmore at Everything but the Girl, second runner-up for Best Place to Find a Gift, and Molly Klauber at Mediterraneo, second runner-up for Best Pasta:

Voter Lisa Angely with Brett Blackburn, Austin Gobczynski and Tyler Angely at Caragiulos, which she voted for Best Family Restaurant:

Lastly, I voted for the Ringling Museum as Best Visitor Attraction, which got second runner-up behind Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium and the winner, Sarasota’s beaches. Cat Pennenga photographed me, along with my sister Dana and handsome little nephew, Ethan, by the Ca d’Zan:

Just a few months ago, we met Madeline for the first time when she and her parents visited us from NY. Last week, Maddie’s cousin Noah, along with his parents and grandparents, got away from the cold dreariness that is March in the northeast to enjoy some warm sunshine in Sarasota. I loved seeing the resemblance in the two cousins – They even made similar noises!

Noah is really adorable, and we all had a fun time taking some shots around the beach before the little guy got sleepy. 🙂

Here’s the whole crew:

Excited to see everyone again in June when we finally make our way to visit NY!

I met little Delilah while on another photo shoot downtown last summer. I snapped a few shots of her then (check one out here). The combo of her complete adorableness and that amazing outfit were just too cute to handle, so I was excited to finally have a full session with her and her parents to celebrate her second birthday.

I think she got even cuter…

Delilah

…And maybe a little bit harder to catch. They get a lot faster from 18 months to 2 years!

A rare pause in the action with her parents, Trevor and Danielle, and her lamb friend “Mimi”:

There is something to be said for posed shots, everyone looking at the camera and smiling. You can see people’s beautiful faces and eyes, and they often make for happy photos. But in my eyes, you can’t beat the true, candid moments between parents and their little ones…
