I ended up shooting a wedding at the last minute this weekend since the original photographer, Mollie Grady, was out of commission due to pneumonia (eek!). I love our community of photographers and was happy to be able to step in – I know Mollie and I have similar approaches to how we shoot, so I hope the transition was fairly seamless… I tried to make Mollie proud and the couple, Sara and Chris, as at ease as possible (which was not a difficult task – these two were very easy-going!).

As the mother of the bride, I can’t tell you how pleased we all were that Ellie was the ‘sub’ for Sara and Chris’ pictures. She literally took over and when she wasn’t shooting people she was doing very creative shots of the flowers, Sara’s dress (before she put it on), and other things that we don’t want to forget. Our arrival by boat at Bayfront Park was awesome and Ellie was on the boat, shooting the whole time. Great job, Ellie. Thank you!
