Wish I could give this birthday girl a hug today, but instead, I have to wish her (and her parents – congrats, Russ & Jordie!) a very, very happy first birthday by posting a few photos of the poolside babe – and hopefully singing to her over Skype later!

Oh, Maddie Cakes… One of the benefits of having to go to NY for Janet & Brian’s engagement shoot is that we got to spend the weekend with Russ, Jordie, and scrumptious little Madeline. Although we’ve Skyped with them over the last several months, Maddie has grown up a lot since her visit to us in the fall. We thought it would be impossible that she’s actually gotten cuter, but we were wrong; she has. She is still so animated and happy – I could photograph her for hours. But I have to stop so I can give her kisses!

Here she is in her beautiful French dress for her pre-first birthday session:

And I had to do another collage of her amazingly cute faces… Choosing which ones made it was not easy…

I’ve been waiting to photograph Owen since before he was even born. Seeing as his parents, my sister’s friend Amy and her husband Rob, live in Washington, DC, I wasn’t sure when it would happen! Luckily, we were in Annapolis for Chris and Sarah’s wedding, so I finally got to meet and photograph beautiful, sweet, mini 4-month-old Owen, one of the cutest babies I’ve ever laid eyes on:

Another post from the Cleveland shoots… The weather went from cold and rainy at the beginning of the trip to hot and muggy for this session! We walked around the great nature preserve by their house and had some fun in the wilderness. Both Ari (who was having his third birthday party later that day) and Chase were a blast to photograph. Ari kept me on my toes, running after him and bargaining for some semi-still shots, and Chase just sat and smiled. 🙂 Both made for fun photos!

I love this crew. After last February’s session, I was excited to photograph them again. Tommy’s all grown up now at 18 months (and crazy cute), Ava (happy belated birthday, Ava!) and Sophia are as sweet as ever, and we finally got dad Anthony in some photos! (And I am obsessed with the clothes Cassie picks out for the kids – OBSESSED.)

Sophia, Ava, Cassie, Tommy, and Anthony

These three are too much… Ava laughing at something silly she drew in her diary, Sophia showing off her modeling skills in their little playhouse, and Tommy giggling at his big sisters. 🙂

If you follow my blog, you’ll recognize this guy (at 14, 11, and 4 months) – and his eyes. They’re ridiculous.

Nolan

He’s expecting a little sibling any day now! Kari’s staying in great shaping keeping up with this one – always on the move. I think he climbed 300 stairs during our session. 🙂

“Out of my way, guys!”:

He did pause to watch the geese and check out some rocks with his dad:

Handsome, happy boy!

Excited to meet you when you emerge, little one!

Kari

Let’s hope Nolan can sit still for me to snap a few photos with the baby…

And happy anniversary to Kari & Kevin!

I knew another session with Lee would be a good time. 🙂 Mom Angelina prepares the cutest outfits, and more importantly, both Angie and Russ are such happy, loving parents. Lee is in her glory around these two and is a sweet, sweet little girl. As Angie said, I could photograph her in a parking lot, and we’d likely be okay. Look at this face!

Lee

Okay, the scenery at the Botanical Gardens doesn’t hurt… (nor do her soft curls, the amazing ensemble, and, again, that face!):

Lee

I don’t remember what her parents were doing that was so entertaining, but maybe I should hire them!

And the trio (and duo in a cute lovebird shot as Lee ran around giggling):

Oliver is the little brother of Sydney, a little one (who’s about to turn 2!) whom I’ve photographed since she was three months old. Now, at 8 weeks, Oliver had his first session, and although he and his sister don’t look too much alike, he is also super adorable and was a great model, cooperative, and relaxed even though we woke him up. 🙂

I love his tie onesie with the fun quilt his grandmother made for him! Not to mention his handsomeness.

Oliver

Lots of babies need a little break here and there, and Oliver is such a cuddly boy:

And this last one reminds me a lot of one I took of Meg with Sydney at her first shoot – so cute:

Arianna is a snuggle bunny – I was psyched to photograph her again (and it meant I could sneak in some snuggles – always a bonus). It doesn’t hurt that she and her parents are super photogenic and make my job quite easy!

Hugs from her gorg mama:

How cute are these three? The way she’s smirking at her daddy in the first shot warms my heart.
