Emily and Matt got married in June on Longboat Key. Although they’re a young duo, Emily was such an organized bride – prepared, calm, focused, and the two of them are visibly so in love.

This is a collection of some of my favorites from Emily and Matt’s first look, ceremony, and portraits (with a beautiful near-sunset sky before the rain started dumping):

Misty and Dusty were married Friday evening on Lido, and although the ceremony had to be indoors due to the crazy, hurricane-like weather, we got to spend some time outside and on the beach yesterday morning for a sunrise “trash-the-dress” shoot all around Siesta. The newlyweds are from Illinois, but Misty spent many vacations in Sarasota growing up and, since meeting Dusty, has made it a special place for him, too.

Misty is no doubt absolutely stunning and thus a ridiculously gorgeous bride, but she is also so much fun – and she and Dusty were amazing sports for yesterday’s shoot. Not sure I’ve met many brides who would dive into the ocean (and then a pool) in their wedding dresses – and let me photograph them doing it! Dusty jumped right in with her – and made her laugh all the while, which seems like a regular occurrence in their relationship (him making her laugh, not the diving into water in wedding attire).

Congratulations, Misty and Dusty!

Wedding photos to come! Stay tuned. 🙂

Peggy and Tom are about to celebrate their 50th anniversary – WOW. 50 years!! Their four sons and their families gathered from all over the country to celebrate, and one of their sons, Jim, and his wife Julie of SunCoast Organics, the amazing home delivery service for fresh, organic produce (and milk, eggs, nuts, etc.), asked me to help them commemorate the occasion with photos. They were an easy bunch, because they clearly have so much fun together – it’s infectious and a joy to photograph!

How sweet are these two?

And the adorable grandkids (thanks, Jim, for being hilarious and cracking them up!):

We took some individual family photos, too. Here are some of the SunCoast Organics crew. (Ainsley is hilarious and such a ham!)

Congratulations to Peggy and Tom on such an incredible and inspiring milestone, and thank you to the whole family for including me in the celebration!

For the 10 days since we’ve been home from Boston, we’ve had visitors, creating sort of an extended holiday celebration – always a great excuse to take some time off to have fun and enjoy each other and Sarasota.

First, Dana and E were here, and even though E was a bit under the weather, we had so much fun. I didn’t realize 17 months (TODAY – Happy 17 Months, E!!) was such a cute age! He understands so much, makes us laugh all day, and is a really sweet little man.

Here he is at a playground, with his eyes looking nothing short of ridiculous:

Before Dana and E left, J’s sister Lauren and her boyfriend came to visit. We took E to the beach on a very breezy, chilly day, and E actually liked it better than when it was warm and sunny!

(All of the following photos were taken with my PEN camera.)

And one of my favorites – E with his mama. I want to kiss that face.

After Dana and E headed back to snowy Cleveland, the weather warmed back up a bit and we spent some more time at the beach, taking some romantic shots of Lauren and Kent:

What a nice way to come home… Now it’s back to reality, although that’s not so bad when it’s 70 degrees in January! Thanks for the great visits, guys!

…rejuvenated and rested (except for that red-eye home).

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend! 🙂
