This weekend was jam-packed with fun sessions, and thankfully, that crazy 90-degree heat went away and left us with chilly fall weather.

First on the schedule was this great family, with 1-year-old twin girls Julia and Ellie (Ellie!!) and 4.5-year-old Jordan (don’t forget that half!). The girls are so sweet – and a lot alike but also definitely their own little selves, already at just a year old. And Jordan is a loving big brother and so much fun.

With these three kids, it was too hard to keep the preview shots to just a couple, so here are a bunch…

The trio:

Julia, Jordan, & Ellie

And just the girls:

They each had some solo time, too…

Here’s Jordan relaxing in the grass, showing off his amazing smile:

You might remember Mykal from earlier this past summer as he was turning 5. I know that I’m biased because he’s family, but isn’t he so handsome with crazy beautiful eyes?! So great to photograph, too – filled with curiosity and energy. Well, we went back to the Arnold Arboretum this August with his cousins and best friends, Ian, 9, and Noah, 11. I thought I’d seen Mykal hyped up before… Nothing compared to his excitement at hanging with his older cousins. These three were such fun to shoot… We ran up and down hills, climbed trees (well, they did), and scaled rocks (again, they did).

Here they are, semi-resting (giggling and wrestling the whole time):

Ian, Mykal, and Noah

And the energetic trio having fun:

We managed to get them to sit still for a couple of minutes for a big family shot:

Tina, Myke, Mykal, Noah, Ian, Courtney, and Jim

And this one makes me laugh, so I thought I’d add it on… Squished together, climbing a tree, and making crazy faces makes for a good time!

This crew is just too cute. They’re gorgeous, spunky, and so much fun. Jack just turned five, but you can already tell he’ll be an adventurous guy. Not to mention he stole my heart with his interest in photography (“What lens is that?” :-)). Brooke is a very mature, entertaining three-year-old, giving me a tour of the house and running around the yard with a million ideas of fun things to do. Courtney is a sweet little one, just turning two and soaking in all that’s around her. The three of them together made for a really fun shoot.

Here they are in a monkey pile:

I’ve said before how much I love photographing siblings, and Spencer and Morgan were no exception. They made each other comfortable, brought out the other one’s silly side, and even got on each other’s nerves (just a little – good time for solo portraits!) – all of which make for great photos.

Here’s the giggling duo:

Morgan & Spencer

They were great models on their own, too:

Jack was born in the middle of our Cleveland visit, and I photographed him and his adoring family about a week later. Jack is an absolutely adorable newborn, and his sister Haley is such a princess and not afraid of the camera. While we waited for Jack to get cozy, Haley was an excellent model, posing proudly in her princess chair:

And here she is again, showing off her gorgeous locks and big green-brown eyes.

Jack did eventually fall asleep. Check out the little prince:

I love photographing siblings, especially rambunctious tiny ones! Ryan is a 4.5-year-old little man, huge “Brownies” fan, and a ham for the camera. I love hearing kids say, “Can you get a picture of me doing this?” His only frustrations during our shoot were when little peanut 2.5-year-old sister Kate would somehow get in the way of his photo or activity plans. Kate is tiny but fiesty; such a sweet little girl but also a tough cookie. They are also super adorable – he’s got an amazing head of red hair and a great, big smile, and she has crystal-clear blue eyes and the most delicate white-blond hair. I love these two!

Check them out, sharing a squeeze…

Can you just see the adorable mischievousness in their eyes?

How is it that every trip to Cleveland seems to fly by faster than the last one? We’re heading to Boston today, and while I’m excited to spend 10 days there, I have been loving our time in Cleveland and am not ready to have to go whole days on end without seeing E. 😦 I’ll post some E shots from this visit soon, but for now, I have some preview photos from Brennan’s one-year session.

I last photographed Brennan on a snowy February morning when he was seven months old. It’s amazing how in a few short months, they turn from babies to toddlers. With his long curly locks and toothy smile, he looks so much more grown up these days. We had a fun outdoor shoot on a beautiful morning.

I love this moment…

See you soon, Cleveland! Will post many more from this trip’s sessions in the days to come.

Little Brian is one of my long-time subjects. Now two and a half, I first met and took some shots of him when he was just about six weeks old. Here he is last fall, and here he is with his adorable cousins Cadence and JT in February. I’ve been hearing about his other cousins, almost-two-year-old Amelia and five-year-old Nora, for quite some time, and I finally got to meet them and photograph the three together last week. Although we were hit with a torrential downpour for about half an hour, we had a great time at the most beautiful gardens and the weather cleared enough for us to get plenty of shots of the gorgeous kids.

Check out these models…
