Yay, Kate and Mike are married!! Kate is like my family, and Mike is such a perfect match and partner for her. They light each other up! I was honored to be asked to photograph their wedding amongst people I love in such a stunning setting on a spectacular, sunny, 70-degree day at Singing Beach in Manchester-by-the-Sea.

Emily and Matt got married in June on Longboat Key. Although they’re a young duo, Emily was such an organized bride – prepared, calm, focused, and the two of them are visibly so in love.

This is a collection of some of my favorites from Emily and Matt’s first look, ceremony, and portraits (with a beautiful near-sunset sky before the rain started dumping):

Cat (of Cat Pennenga Photography – check out her beautiful work!) asked me to photograph her family on their gorgeous wooden boat before they sell it:

…And we did a little lovebirds’ shoot of the happy couple (and their pup, Rufus). Cute tidbit – Cat and Greg left their wedding on this boat. 🙂

Misty and Dusty were married Friday evening on Lido, and although the ceremony had to be indoors due to the crazy, hurricane-like weather, we got to spend some time outside and on the beach yesterday morning for a sunrise “trash-the-dress” shoot all around Siesta. The newlyweds are from Illinois, but Misty spent many vacations in Sarasota growing up and, since meeting Dusty, has made it a special place for him, too.

Misty is no doubt absolutely stunning and thus a ridiculously gorgeous bride, but she is also so much fun – and she and Dusty were amazing sports for yesterday’s shoot. Not sure I’ve met many brides who would dive into the ocean (and then a pool) in their wedding dresses – and let me photograph them doing it! Dusty jumped right in with her – and made her laugh all the while, which seems like a regular occurrence in their relationship (him making her laugh, not the diving into water in wedding attire).

Congratulations, Misty and Dusty!

Peggy and Tom are about to celebrate their 50th anniversary – WOW. 50 years!! Their four sons and their families gathered from all over the country to celebrate, and one of their sons, Jim, and his wife Julie of SunCoast Organics, the amazing home delivery service for fresh, organic produce (and milk, eggs, nuts, etc.), asked me to help them commemorate the occasion with photos. They were an easy bunch, because they clearly have so much fun together – it’s infectious and a joy to photograph!

How sweet are these two?

And the adorable grandkids (thanks, Jim, for being hilarious and cracking them up!):

We took some individual family photos, too. Here are some of the SunCoast Organics crew. (Ainsley is hilarious and such a ham!)

Congratulations to Peggy and Tom on such an incredible and inspiring milestone, and thank you to the whole family for including me in the celebration!

Janet and Brian are getting married in Cohasset, MA this fall. While I’m in Boston a lot (for fun and work), I haven’t – well, hadn’t – yet gotten the chance to do a shoot in NYC. Luckily, this duo met and lives in the city, and it was very important to them to have engagement photos done there before their Massachusetts nuptials. Yay for a trip to NY!

We hit up many city highlights – Grand Central (would’ve been nice to have hired extras to create a bustling but unobtrusive scene instead of actual busy commuters who couldn’t have cared less about our shoot, but it was fun!), Central Park’s Bethesda Fountain, the Met (closed Mondays, hmph), the street where Janet lived when they met, their neighborhood (Tribeca) and many other little spots. We could’ve shot for days… Here are some of my favorites:

Congratulations to Janet and Brian! Thank you for a great, whirlwind NYC shoot (and for giving us a reason to take a trip to New York!), and see you in MA in October!!

Our good friends Chris and Sarah are officially married after an awesome wedding weekend in Annapolis, MD. Almost all of the guests came in from out of town (or out of the country!), so it was full-on vacation mode for everyone. And since people had the days leading up to the wedding to hang out and get to know each other, there was a relaxed, loving, happy vibe on wedding day – and everyone was ready to party (as is evidenced by the photos)! The wedding was held at Sarah’s grandmother’s beautiful estate on the water, they had a friend officiate (and photograph – that’s me!), Sarah’s aunt and uncle serenaded the couple, and the custom mix Chris and Sarah created for the dance party had everyone on their feet until the very last minute. All in all, a great, intimate party for two people who couldn’t be more perfectly matched.

Here are some highlights from the day…
