Ella is no stranger to my camera – I’ve photographed this munchkin several times, but this was her last shoot as an only child! New baby brother or sister is due in January, so we had one more opportunity to take Ella’s photos before the little one’s arrival. And we finally got mom Laura and dad Ryan in some shots!!

Here’s Ella at 1 year, 7 months, and 4 months.

First, we took some holiday shots of Ella with a giant nutcracker and some other Christmas friends. She makes me laugh. 🙂

Unsure about this first snowfall…

But still looking so adorable…

This last photo is just too funny… Even though she loved being out in the snow during our shoot last winter, the only way Ella would smile outside this time around was if Ryan put her on his head (not shoulders) – and Laura cracks me up in this one, too. Super cute – and kind of random – family shot, I think.

Next time I see Ella and family, they will have one new member! So exciting. 🙂

Wow has Alexander changed since I photographed him in February! He’s a walking (more like running) machine, loves to dance, and is still so adorable. After a snowy morning in Cleveland, we went in town to have some very chilly toddler photography fun (i.e. non-stop)! Alexander thought it was a game of tag, so we just tried to keep up – helped keep us from freezing, I think. 🙂

Thanks for another great session, Alexander, Christina and Brad! 🙂

Two newborn boys in a row! 🙂 Adorable start to the Cleveland sessions.

This little man is John Sullivan, born on Halloween to Suzann, Patrick, and big sister Lily, whom you may recognize as the sweet little munchkin holding the big red ball in my blog header (more from that shoot here and more to come from her summer session). Lily is one of my original Cleveland clients and is an amazing little model – not to mention that Suzann always brings along fun things to play with and dresses her daughter in clothes I *die* for – so there was some pressure for Mr. Sullivan! He did not let me down.

Here’s the scrumptious new man at six days old:

And his beautiful big sister:

The siblings have a snuggle:

There are so many more that I will probably post after the holidays, but here’s one last photo of precious Lily playing in the first snowfall of the year!

We met Peppe when we moved here and discovered Cafe Epicure (he makes the best pizza), and I met his wife and baby girl Eleonora at the restaurant a couple of years ago (wow, what a gorgeous family). Now they’re expecting their second little bambina at Thanksgiving, and I finally got them in front of the camera for some maternity photos.

I can’t even stand the beauty.

Stunning ladies…

Eleonora is the sweetest little girl… gives her parents so much love…

I haven’t seen these little guys since Julian’s baby session, when he was 7 weeks old (and big brother Phinn was 19 months). Now they are 16 months and almost 3… and just as cute (if not cuter). Julian is such a big boy now – with that amazing little clip in his hair from his baptism in Greece this summer. And Phinn has so much to do and say, “facetious” probably being my favorite word of his. 🙂 He is hysterical and animated – and they are both just so, so handsome.

Right?

And their monkeys were never far away…

On yet another overcast – and very chilly – day in Cleveland, I photographed brothers Cooper, 6, and Finn, 1. Five years is a cute age difference, because the bigger sibling feels like a caretaker – and they really are in two totally different stages. Cooper is very loving and protective of Finn – minus some accidental pulls and shoves (he is 6, after all). Finn, poor guy, was not feeling so great but pulled through for our session – with some blanket-covered snuggles and time with his pacifier sprinkled throughout.

You’d never know he was sick, right?! Here, we did a sneaky pacifier trick – Cooper would let him have it for a few seconds, and then we’d do a countdown for him to pull it out for a couple quick frames. Worked like a charm!

The great-grandmother of clients Ben, Spencer & Morgan, and Rafi turned 89 a couple of weeks ago, and the family held a big bash for her at the Beechmont Country Club. They asked me to help commemorate the special day with some family photos.

Here’s Horty with her great-grandchildren. She was so proud. 🙂

This weekend was jam-packed with fun sessions, and thankfully, that crazy 90-degree heat went away and left us with chilly fall weather.

First on the schedule was this great family, with 1-year-old twin girls Julia and Ellie (Ellie!!) and 4.5-year-old Jordan (don’t forget that half!). The girls are so sweet – and a lot alike but also definitely their own little selves, already at just a year old. And Jordan is a loving big brother and so much fun.

With these three kids, it was too hard to keep the preview shots to just a couple, so here are a bunch…

The trio:

Julia, Jordan, & Ellie

And just the girls:

They each had some solo time, too…

Here’s Jordan relaxing in the grass, showing off his amazing smile:

You might remember Mykal from earlier this past summer as he was turning 5. I know that I’m biased because he’s family, but isn’t he so handsome with crazy beautiful eyes?! So great to photograph, too – filled with curiosity and energy. Well, we went back to the Arnold Arboretum this August with his cousins and best friends, Ian, 9, and Noah, 11. I thought I’d seen Mykal hyped up before… Nothing compared to his excitement at hanging with his older cousins. These three were such fun to shoot… We ran up and down hills, climbed trees (well, they did), and scaled rocks (again, they did).

Here they are, semi-resting (giggling and wrestling the whole time):

Ian, Mykal, and Noah

And the energetic trio having fun:

Mykal, Ian, and Noah

We managed to get them to sit still for a couple of minutes for a big family shot:

Tina, Myke, Mykal, Noah, Ian, Courtney, and Jim

And this one makes me laugh, so I thought I’d add it on… Squished together, climbing a tree, and making crazy faces makes for a good time!
